Jungsoo was born and grew up in Seoul, South Korea. She was 7 when she had her first acupuncture treatment from the father of her best friend who was a well respected practitioner in Seoul. She still remembers how her sprained ankle was swollen as big as her knee and how magical it seemed to her the way he fixed her ankle in two treatments. She used to hang out in a treatment room that had a wall of chinese herb drawers, because she loved to breathe in the smell of herbs. Since then Chinese medicine has been an integral part of her life. Jungsoo believes in the Chinese medicine principle of connectedness; interconnected systems within the body, and body connecting with emotion and mind. The goal of Chinese Medicine is healing the root source of ailment, to achieve harmony among individual elements and restore balance. It was a long winding journey for Jungsoo to be an acupuncturist practicing here on the west side of LA. She is grateful to so many people on and through her path; her family and friends, teachers and patients. She feels blessed to be doing what she loves: helping and healing people, and promoting wellness.
